PURPOSE

1. This paper makes recommendations for the Immigration Bill (the Bill) on issues that have arisen from:
   1. submissions to the Transport and Industrial Relations Committee (the Committee), and
   2. a further departmental review of the Bill in consultation with key stakeholders.
